Crystallize - Oakland Art Murmur, Cars West Gallery, 2014 - Photographs trap moments in time, preserve the present, and attempt immortality. Crystals too are unchanging forms, eternalizing objects in glistening angular structures. In her latest solo exhibit, Elena Kulikova, materialized the meeting of these two enduring forms into crystal garden installations with sensuous photographs and portraits overgrown by crystals over time.
